Why won't my laptop connect to the internet in the library?

You will need to connect to one of the wireless networks in the library. Once this has been done you should be able to access the internet from anywhere in the Library.  

If you are visiting from another university then you will need to have registered for EduRoam, with your home institution, before you arrive.

If you are still experiencing problems: 

1. Make sure you have typed an ordinary web address (which will show as starting with http://)rather than a secure connection web address (which would show as https://)

 2. If you still can't bring the login screen up, then disconnect from metNet in the list your laptop shows and retry the process - making sure the first web address you try to go to is an ordinary one e.g.
