The peer review process ensures that articles are of high quality, are reflective of scholarship in a  particular field and based on sound research.

Identifying peer-reviewed journals

Some databases offer the option of limiting search results to peer reviewed journals.

If you are still unsure if an article you have selected has been through the peer-review process, select the journal publication information and the publication advice to authors will help you to ascertain if the submission process requires review prior to publication.

The Library search tool MetCat also offers the option of limiting to peer reviewed journals/journal articles.
